This FSC-certified internal fire door has a total trimming allowance of 30mm off the height and width to enable it to suitably fit your door frame. However, if you need to trim the door to allow for those typically Victorian doorways, then you would only need to oil the edges with one of our hard wax oils to seal the door for long-term use.

Bury oak glazed internal fire door has been manufactured using wood products from a sustainable forest, and coupled with a 10 year manufacturer's warranty, you can be sure that you are buying a quality door from the right place for your home. As an FD30-rated fire door, the 45mm depth provides 30 minutes of protection from fire and smoke in the event of a fire.

As this door is prefinished, it is ready for installation, but will require refinishing at recommended intervals of 6 months in order to keep it protected from daily exposure. If you are trimming your prefinished door down to your size, the trimmed bits would also need a little touch-up with a treatment for maximum protection. For what treatment to use on this internal door, we would recommend an oil from either our Treatex Hardwax or Osmo Hardwax range, which are our recommended tried and tested choice of treatments for any oak internal door.

To maximise your fire door’s fire protection properties, we strongly recommend installing them with compatible fire-rated door frames complete with an intumescent strip and door linings. Fire-rated hinges are also an option to complete your fire spreading preventative countermeasures.
