Herringbone Multi-Ply Oak Flooring - 15/4x120x600mm (1.152m/Pack)
Our Herringbone Alnwick is another impressive example of the impact Herringbone flooring can make in the home. Made from responsibly sourced character grade timber, this Herringbone Oak flooring is a slightly different variation that features a chevron, this means that instead of the traditional interlaced floorboards, these floorboards fit flush to one another, meeting at a point. Due to the nature of character grade oak, the presence of features such as knots are much more common, whilst still small, these knots can appear in clusters also known as ‘Cat’s Paws’. There is a fair bit of colour variance in the oak, creating a beautiful effect in the wooden flooring, as well as the fact that the oak is left unfinished, so the true colour of the oak is visible.
This multi-ply flooring is constructed from many different wooden elements, starting with the base layer, followed by several layers of oak core which have been bonded together and then finally topped with the 4mm character oak wear layer. This wear layer is produced with hand selected timber and is 4mm thick so that you can sand it back at any stage. Whether you want to revamp your oak flooring, or simply sand out some scuff marks in the flooring, this oak wear layer will allow you to do this multiple times over. Compatible with underfloor heating and using tongue and groove fixings, this hardwood flooring solution is practical, durable and easy to install.
