This handmade OX-Bow External Solid Oak Door has been crafted to an extremely high standard to give your home’s exterior a touch of real class. This cottage-style external door is capable of working with contemporary and more traditional properties alike. Period, country, or listed properties complement the stunning design of the Oxbow extremely well.

The natural beauty of the oak complements a variety of brickwork colours; the subtle tones of the timber showcase the delicate graining whilst allowing the elaborate knots to take more of the attention. From the interior of your home looking out, you will gain a real sense of safety due to the thick, cross-shaped panelling that supports the vertical boards of the door.

Many people are now turning to solid oak external doors for the additional security they can offer, and these doors are definitely thick enough for security locks to be added.

These doors are supplied without glazing; you will need to choose the glazing style that best matches the look you’re trying to achieve. This will only increase the dramatic impact this solid oak door will give to the front of your home.

This design of the Ox-Bow door and the position of the ledges on the back allow you to create a perfectly positioned aperture to house a letter box. Please see our guide on how to fit a letter box here

Please follow these treatment and maintenance instructions to preserve the beauty and strength of the wood.

External Doors are supplied unfinished. You will need to use a treatment suitable for external doors; we recommend the Impranol range for External doors. Click here for Impranol

We also supply an Oak Weatherbar to match the door, which will be required should the door be "open to the elements". Sold separately as not everyone will need one...ie if your door is situated within an enclosed porch. Click Here For Oak Weatherbars.

Our external doors must be treated before being hung, retreated every six months, and kept dry at all times through the use of a canopy or similar. For full guidelines, please visit our External Door Protection Page.
