This Bury 4 Panel Pre-Finished Oak Fire Door features 4 distinctive panels that contribute to the overall sleek but minimal design. This rigorously tested product is rated FD30, which means it can withstand fire for a minimum of 30 minutes, making it an ideal choice for use as a kitchen door, both in the home and office. Due to the rules of fire testing, the material must be uniform, and as this cannot be guaranteed with solid oak wood doors. Because of this, we choose to construct our fire doors with FSC certified White American oak veneer instead of 100% solid oak so that we can secure an FD30 rating, which is the best way to guarantee safety.

This Victorian fire door is supplied prefinished, ready for hanging straight out of the box. With a substantial thickness of 45mm, this stylish internal door also offers the flexibility of a 30mm trim allowance off the width of this door and off the height, in equal measures, so you can resize any of the four standard sizes to your exact requirements. Or if you’d rather receive your new fire door ready to go with your own specific measurements, we can do the hard work for you with our bespoke sizing option!

To maximise your fire door’s fire protection properties, we strongly recommend installing them with compatible fire-rated door frames complete with an intumescent strip and door linings. Fire-rated hinges are also an option to complete your fire spreading preventative countermeasures.

As this door is prefinished, it is ready for installation, but will require refinishing at recommended intervals of 6 months in order to keep it protected from daily exposure. If you are trimming your prefinished door down to your size, the trimmed bits would also need a little touch-up with a treatment for maximum protection. For what treatment to use on this internal door, we would recommend an oil from either our Treatex Hardwax or Osmo Hardwax range, which are our recommended tried and tested choice of treatments for any oak internal door.
