Osmo Polyx Oil Rapid - Clear Matt (0.75l, 2.5l, 10l)
Osmo Polyx Rapid Oil in a Matt finish is the perfect option for anyone that wants to enhance the timber grain in the woodwork throughout their home. The product can be used on a number of different products, but it is by far the most superiour product for oiling internal oak doors (it's also the one that we recommend!).
With the added bonus of rapid drying times, this Osmo oil in clear matt can provide the perfect modern finish. Simply apply with a lint-free cloth or paintbrush, and the oil will glide onto the wood with ease. As the oil is micro-porous, it will seep into the cracks and grain of the wood. When used appropriately, a 1L tin will cover approximately 8 square metres with 2 coats, offering great value for money!
This oil is resistant to common household liquids that could be spilt on these surfaces, providing protection against wine, beer, tea, coffee, juice and even... saliva! So you can coat children's toys with this product, without worrying about germs! All the ingredients are European Pharmascopoeia compliant, ensuring that they are benzene free and contain only de-aromatised white spirit, making them safe for use on children's toys.
Application
Apply with a brush or roller
Osmo polyx oil is ready to use - you don't need to thin it, simply stir it well.
1 litre covers approx 24 m² with 1 coat
Apply the 1st coat thinly, thoroughly and evenly along the wood grain, removing any surplus immediately. Allow this coat to dry for at least 4-6 hours ensuring good ventilation.
Apply the 2nd coat as you did the first - this coat will flow much easier than the first. Again allow 4-6 hours for drying and ventilate well.
When the door is thoroughly dry, you may buff or polish by hand or with a machine.
Clean your brushes or rollers using white spirit or benzene-free brush cleaner.
