Solid Oak External Stable Cottage Top
External Solid Oak Stable Cottage Top
A traditional top for a traditional door. Our cottage top for stable doors uses a very similar construction to the base, except for a small hole that has been deliberately left for glazing to be inserted into. By deliberately leaving this space for glazing, you can choose from any range of options to match the style that best suits your home.
Available in Made to Measure sizes, fill out our contact form for more info!
The stable traditional cottage top is manufactured using the strongest mortise and tenon joints for maximum stability. Made from solid oak and 44mm thick, this beautiful stable top is the perfect addition to cottages and rustic homes.
We also supply an Oak Weatherbar to match the door, which will be required should the door be "open to the elements". Sold separately as not everyone will need one...ie, if your door is situated within an enclosed porch. Click here for Oak Weatherbars
Our range of external doors are made from solid oak; however, we do not recommend usage in exposed areas, i.e., direct rain or hot sun. Therefore, we recommend use in sheltered areas with a porch or canopy.
Please follow these treatment and maintenance instructions to preserve the beauty and strength of the wood.
Achieve a balance between light and privacy with the small feature window. All the style of a traditional cottage door with the benefits of the stable door style. Glazing is not supplied, but we've designed these to allow you to fit a full 20mm double-glazed unit for energy efficiency.
All our stable doors come as standard with a 1" rebate, and as they are identical on both the front and rear faces, you will be able to decide if you would like the door to open inwards or outwards.
Pair with the Solid Oak Stable Base for a unique solid oak stable door to be proud of.
Please follow these treatment and maintenance instructions to preserve the beauty and strength of the wood.
