The internal fire door comes in 3 standard sizes. All these sizes have a 44mm thickness and are 78 inches in height. Depending on your preferred size, the widths differ: 27 inches, 30 inches, and 33 inches. It is a carpenter-friendly door, in that it has a thick lipping and a thick veneer. With a trimming allowance of 3mm on the sides, top, and bottom, you can trim the door according to your needs.
To maximise your fire door’s fire protection properties, we strongly recommend installing them with compatible fire-rated door frames complete with an intumescent strip and door linings. Fire-rated hinges are also an option to complete your fire spreading preventative countermeasures.
