Available in four widths, this oak fire door should fit in most people’s door openings however it does offer a generous trimming allowance of 15mm either side, top and bottom which will allow amendments to be made to the size for any slightly awkward sizes. As this door is unfinished, it will require finishing after install, and then require refinishing at recommended intervals of 6 months in order to keep it protected from daily exposure. For what treatment to use on this internal door, we would recommend an oil from either our Treatex Hardwax or Osmo Hardwax range, which are our recommended tried and tested choice of treatments for any oak internal door.

To maximise your fire door’s fire protection properties, we strongly recommend installing them with compatible fire-rated door frames complete with an intumescent strip and door linings. Fire-rated hinges are also an option to complete your fire spreading preventative countermeasures.
