Bespoke Solid Oak 1930s Style Unglazed Door
Bespoke Solid Oak 1930s Style Unglazed Door
Our uniquely styled Bespoke Solid Oak 1930s Style Unglazed Door is the perfect choice when looking to add the finishing touches to your traditional home. Created from multiple pieces of oak, you can physically see the natural coloured tones and distinguishing features that make solid oak so special. The elaborate, accentuated knots and contrasting grain markings both add eye-catching character to the overall look of the door.
This door is made to your measurements, although if you are after this door in a more conventional common size, click here.
This period door immediately adds personality and boasts all the features that are associated with the 1930s, such as the three vertical panels, enabling you to capture the essence and authenticity of this period of time. This affordable door encompasses a number of important key looks for the 1930s home. The streamlined shapes, minimal use of colour and ornamentation all tie in with the ‘Moderne’ design movement of the time. The door itself features the classic ‘one over three’ design, a large flat panel in the top section with three vertical panels underneath, a design which will be found in most 1930s-built homes throughout the country.
Historically, doors such as this would’ve been made from pine wood and were often painted white. This style, however, has been expertly crafted from solid oak using traditional techniques, elevating the class of the door so you can proudly display the natural beauty of the oak for all to view.
In order to allow for full customisation of your door, we have chosen to supply this door unglazed, helping you to make your home feel truly your own!
We do provide an in-house oiling/finishing option on our doors, but if you choose for your door to come unfinished, we would recommend finishing your oak door first, and then every 6 months for it to truly remain protected and fresh. We personally recommend our range of Treatex Hardwax oils for this, or alternatively, our Osmo oils.
Glazing not included.
