Osmo Polyx Oil Clear Matt (0.375l, 0.75l, 2.5l, 10l)
This Osmo Polyx Oil in Clear Matt is the perfect choice for wood products! We strongly recommend the use of this oil on new internal solid oak doors as the best method of protection for your doors. It can also be used on our solid oak skirting and architrave or any other timber accessories required.
This oil is incredibly hard-wearing, micro-porous (breathable) and a water repellent surface treatment. It also protects your wood from other household liquids such and tea, coffee, wine and juice, so you don't have to worry about spills ruining your woodwork.
Each litre tin will cover approx. 8 square metres with two coats and depending on useage will look great for several years, after which it can simply be re-applied. All the ingredients are European Pharmascopoeia compliant, ensuring that they are benzene free and contain only de-aromatised white spirit, making them safe for use on children's toys.
Application
Oswax is ready to use - you don't need to thin it, simply stir it well.
Apply the 1st coat thinly, thoroughly and evenly along the wood grain, removing any surplus immediately. Allow this coat to dry for at least 8-10 hours ensuring good ventilation.
Apply the 2nd coat as you did the first - this coat will flow much easier than the first. Again allow 8-10 hours for drying and ventilate well.
When the door is thoroughly dry, you may buff or polish by hand or with a machine.
Clean your brushes or rollers using white spirit or benzene-free brush cleaner.
