Our window sills are machined from the very finest kiln-dried, first-grade solid oak, which is naturally beautiful due to its wood grain appearance. There may be a small amount of grain and colour variation visible in the window sill, and this is due to the method of construction we use. We pride ourselves on using the most sustainable and environmentally friendly options when constructing our products, and using a single solid oak board involves wasting more timber than necessary. Our boards are constructed from 3 planks of solid oak, which are edge-glued with industrial-strength glue along the narrowest edge, to create one solid board.
Supplied unfinished, our solid oak window sills offer the opportunity for you to finish them on-site so that they can be matched with your current wood features or to stand out against your existing interior colour scheme. All of our window sills have a machined and rounded front profile to give a smooth look. They are supplied pre-sanded for easy finishing and can be purchased in a number of different dimensions. This specific sill has a 32mm thickness and 225mm depth.
The wood grain finish works well in a diverse range of interiors and is an excellent addition to a character property where a more natural look is highly sought after. Our window sills are also a great way to add some detail to a contemporary interior and break up a neutral colour scheme.
